Developing strong reading skills is essential for going on to college and having a career. Unfortunately, not every student has a chance to strengthen this skill. There are students who read well and excel, and there are students who receive extra assistance to help develop good reading skills. Then there is a third group which doesn't fall into any of the other groups. These students fall in the middle, and therefore do not receive the attention they need. Centennial Elementary School wants to help these students. This is where you come in. The school is asking for adult volunteers who would be willing to come in once a week for one hour to read with these students. It may seem rather simple, but it makes a HUGE difference. If you are interested, please complete this volunteer form. If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Oberin.
