Maundy Thursday Service
What is Maundy Thursday?
“Maundy" comes from the Latin word for 'command' (mandatum). It is the mandate that Jesus gave to His disciples after washing their feet to do as He has done to them. The mandate is to serve others as Jesus has served us. For more information, read this Maundy Thursday Article.

What is a Maundy Thursday Service?
During the service we imitate the final night Jesus spent with the disciples. There are 3 elements of the service: 1. A common meal 2. Foot Washing 3. Communion
Do I have to have my feet washed?
In short, No. The thought of having your feet washed can be uncomfortable. While this was common practice in Jesus' day it certainly isn't today. However, we encourage having your feet washed and washing another person's feet because it is one of the most humbling acts we can do for one another. And it is in this humbling act that we better understand what it means to serve one another.
